Iabichino Paul - The future is back

I work with words, I take care of publicity and are often called to see scenarios coming and coming for a profession increasingly under attack, many persist in seeing in danger of extinction. But is not the future of advertising that interests me now.

do not think I know what the new media to elect a panacea for all ills. I have no certainty on display and I do not think that my Invertising can help in this circumstance ...

I like rather than go back to talk about the future. When I was invited to write for this initiative, I welcome someone to start again to wonder about tomorrow, because, without noticing, have it snatched silently. Until a few years ago tomorrow was the charm of the event, the charisma of the unknown. Then came the futurists, the guru , digital culture that has accelerated the course of history, suddenly getting closer to everyone he met on the books of science fiction or political fiction ...

And as we have abdicated to the wonderful ending that evokes the imagination. Where is the science fiction? Who remembers the last time I tried to imagine the future? Why innovation is over within a Ministry, rather than remain in the vicinity of creativity? Why new ideas are called up start and no one has the courage to fail to see an intuition? This blog

reconciles me with the imagination, because I read authoritative authors - excuse the pun, but it's a rare thing to stumble on combinations of words so happy - to experiment with ideas that move in the weeks and months ahead of their horizons, by inquiring into the events using verbs in the future and conditional.

The title of this post is borrowed from the campaign I'm working on at this time with his friend Richard Moon, editor of Wired Italy. He is overseeing an exhibition on the future that will last nine months, in Turin, from March 2011. How can an exhibition on the future of last nine months? It seems an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms, but that's what makes it so fascinating that I did write "The future is back."

Why is there an intention that is not only cultural, but it is politically motivated. To regain possession of the many stories of people who are trying to heal this country. 150 ideas, concepts and visions, as the years that in 2011 will celebrate the unity of this Italy, precisely, to mend. For those who still believe that politics is not just that rite mephitic that is consumed in government buildings, but everyday is something that belongs to each of us and feel the strong urge to wonder about the future, rather than fall back on one and only present.

The future is back means returning to imagine the future of all and inevitably be forced to want the best of our present. Projecting forward means to take care of your square meter, as Marco Paolini said in a wonderful monologue by Ilva of Taranto, to do a little 'maintenance'. Without a deal macroscenari planetary, each in his small, improving his newspaper of the future for the benefit of all.

The future is back it seems to me the best vision for digital photography scenarios next year, because it means welcome back the fantasy, imagination and creativity that we need to face the days ahead. Inside and outside the Network

Connection Bet Navel And Penis

Susanna Legrenzi - The Age Soma

The passage of the Ten? From the perspective of umbilical the writer has more or less coincided with the conclusion of a long, exclusive professional parentheses in the printed press and the desire to "do" more. The world runs in other directions, fading dreams of twenty years, crushed the utopias, the taste is sweet / sour of some kind of hallucinogen. Genius (and Belgian) crowds of Carsten Holler, c / o Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin right on the turn of the year, has called Soma. Soma is the legendary drink of the Vedic nomads who, in the second millennium to C, migrating from Siberia to India. If we think we could imagine visions for Soma Vs Net migration is still underway and contours, between North and South of the World, points of departure and landing, not are better defined. Holler ended in a compound x number of reindeer; us who usufruiamo less direct retinal experience, in the end a bit 'looks like it, caught between the world and a "summary of" someone who continues to do for us. Viewed in this light, the digital divide is not only an urgent socio-cultural or a matter of professional survival (it) requires a scaling objectives and expectations without having some horizons. Digital Divide is almost a "clearing house". Digital natives have a different age (personal) and a completely different construction of "knowledge": the metric has become horizontal by vertical, etc etc ... Not need the numbers of overtaking the Social Vs www, just the vantage point of a teaching post-high school to discover that the Internet is not the Babel of information that we had hoped but a great sports bar where - before they learn to look in the Dickens shelves of home (or the local library) - you will not find anything (good?) for the simple fact that you do not want (you know) search. Better, worse, who knows? If yesterday's thirst for knowledge was responding to a single engine - the application of curiosity (+ saving culture of the doubt) - Google is now with all his muscle power but lacks, perhaps, new keywords to explore this question and the future . We are all (where all is for us-40-year-plus-1-less-1) grew up believing the world has few boundaries, had a global reach in a click. It was and is true. Or maybe not. In the Italian network and slow for a few - all waiting for it to become - in the season of transition between the Ten and Twenty, if you open a limited company, without having won a win-for-life or enchanted an incubator generous, easy to find that the great crisis of international finance requires thinking with close to zero kilometer scale and economies of homo faber that aim at '(self-) existence. The 2011? I do not think will bring clarity. If anything, add complexity. The scenario is estimated as approximate and the world. The network or in any way a mirror dystonic where high / low, true / likely coexist, sometimes blurred. If I go back to thinking in terms of information, the "Soma" of the moment is a sort of paradox. Once upon a time, journalism, and then came the advertising and marketing through advertising ... The universe of open source at the moment in terms of profitability does not replace neither the one nor the other. I do not know if newspapers will survive the paper. The issue - ignoring the personal pleasure of the dough - just thrills me. Not interested in the media, I am interested in process, method and content. The card will always (more or less) paid, the web is now just a promise. In this perspective, journalism is journalism when Citizien generate income for those who practice it. And the recent diatribes all'HuffPo seem to confirm this. If procedessimo still a Assange paradoxes that have to write an autobiography to "support" Wikileaks (related causes a. ..) wrote that there was a buzz of Deserts and Tartars with a publisher who thought the rest. Of course, another time, another century ... The hallucinogen has not yet exhausted its effect. Refer this information to the logic of a network assigned to the micro-parcellizazione asdsense and the profession will not believe, however distant. From Siberia to India, the journey is long. In my small way, for now I just decided to get in gear. The rest, as they used to say, is a boh great. The challenge (maybe) is to learn to live with it.

Susanna Legrenzi lives and works in Milan. Journalist, 42 years old, law degree, in the last 13 years I worked woman / chief editor of Corriere della Sera as art and design. What Came First Skate Board Or Skates

Elizabeth Gola - Educationally modified: cyberprof, cyberlearners, cyberschools

have been expecting for many years. I wonder if 2011 will be the good one. What are we waiting? That whoever is responsible for training thousands of young minds dates back at last the slope of the digital divide and reaches them to be able to talk to them. And not just to talk about technology but about everything.

technology, since in 400 BC was called Tekne, has always had a history of complicated relations with the theory (and even with practice). The digital divide is just a contemporary remake of an old problem. To return to more recent times, before the digital divide were the two cultures (the humanities and science), these two doublings, linked together, are both dangerous, because in reality an attempt to save at the expense of the other usually decrease the chances of survival of both.
This premise to say that, in an abundance of communication channels and information available, what they really miss is the ability to manage both. What I hope happens in the technological landscape of 2011 and to increase the prof. 2.0 , a highly sophisticated technology base of natural but can improve a lot the original model through an upgrade in the possibility of even minimal use of the internet, webcam, forum, software for the provision of audiovisual and educational materials, ebook and-for the more advanced models, virtual environments, serious games, augmented reality .
These tools are already plenty of built-in digital systems that accompany our daily lives, and keep them away from schools is considered an objective to be pursued at all costs to safeguard our culture. The negative side effect of this ideological stance backfires on the objective sought, would be an impoverishment of the possibility of spread of the culture and attitude of research that should permeate all but when we try to understand and communicate the 'reality'. Since knowledge goes today in large part through communication via the Web, not being able to qualify as a new form of discrimination, established by the person who hides behind the pretext of non-contamination-will-of-culture-with-the-tecnica.L 'outcome that we can see so far is that, in education, have taken possession of only those who provide technology in this sector strong development potential in terms of the market. While the majority of the institutions of training using languages \u200b\u200band tools inadequate.
who has covered education in different ways and to use technology and innovation, brought into fashion blog from time to time, slides, forums, workshops (often to look at but not touch), and more recently as a platform moodle files, podcasts, social media networks.
What could offer new or different in 2011? My prediction is that, in schools, driven by a cognitive illusion, will spread the "LIM", multimedia interactive whiteboard, computer in the shape of the board, but with the same complexity of a normal computer. My fear is that such disclosure is limited to the introduction of a new 'object' class, which could, for admission of the same creators of the LIM-turn in support of posters and post it. For this prof. 2.0 is a must!
The hope is that any instrument hardware is adopted, will spread in a practical use of intelligent Internet and videoconferencing, perhaps, but this sounds like a request to the spirit of Christmas, by an integrated hardware and software at low cost, cognitively ergonomic design that will facilitate the lives of all students and teachers in the world can address directly an expert, create networks of people with high level knowledge, mediated by teacher-mentors who are capable of moving to live in remote network and the classroom. This would allow you to share the knowledge of high-level specialists, to reduce the inevitable decay that information undergoes traveling on traditional channels for too many mediations between sender and recipient.
Unlike other asynchronous tools such as pre-packed multimedia materials, videoconferencing contact safeguards and synchronizes the timing of production and listening, facilitating the understanding. Unlike other interactive tools, such as those who use mainly of writing, allows the transmission of content dense, full of expressive power of spoken communication . Increases language skills, reducing the distances that prevent approach to learning communities belonging to different peoples and different cultures .
will be the experience of working and living experience in an island, in 2011 All schools should start the project in Sardinia School digital, but I hope that a proper use and investment in technology can lead to reduced distances between center and periphery, in a school of excellence for all concerned.

Elisabetta Gola is chairman of the degree course in Communication Sciences, provided online by the University of Cagliari, where he teaches theory of language and communication. His research interests focus on artificial intelligence applied to language, with a preference for using non-literal, and more recently his reflections I came to consider the impact technology in learning.

Toddler Toe Infection

Layla Pavone - The year before the end of the world of advertising ' so 'as we always thought

Sara 'a year, 2011, remember? Or the much-heralded end of the world stop us 'to store the memory of what I believe will be' one of the years more 'interesting in the history of communication and especially public'?
Whatever you do, counting on NASA's assurances that scientifically refutes the dire predictions of the Maya people :-), next year will be 'surely marked by further innovations as well as the consolidation of some phenomena that are revolutionizing the world of communication, but before yet of course the company '.
After about 15 years since the emergence of Internet in Italy (in the sense of an instrument of information, reports and mass communication) and in spite of the obstacles related to lack of investment in technological infrastructure and more 'innovation in general, companies will use the online communication platform as the first rotate around which all business processes. The revolution will be 'just the technology that, when it comes to marketing and advertising is not' a concept as' trivial. I apologize to those who chew technology every day since 'could really judge granted my thoughts but, as a "bridge figure" from this point of view (the' un'internettara "but a" publicity "and have had a luck to be the vanguard of the contamination present that, however, '15 years ago-believe me-I was going through an illusion visionary) I can confidently sustain as the business technology was, until not long ago, as more' distant for many marketing manager.
The fragmentation of audiences and multiplication to offer multimedia content in question has fully recovered 50 years of rules and paradigms that, though shared by the advertising industry in recent years had turned away from the real needs of consumers becoming obsolete and less and less effective.
technology will revolutionize 'is the advertising or the media planning and creativity'. The use of algorithms will be ' the starting point in the years ahead for schedules online and even offline (ie on those traditional ways that gradually are digitizing) to reach the audience in logic "behavioral" and "re-targeting." The year 2011 will be 'the year of the true kick-off.
Without taking anything away from the research on a sample basis as well as those based on census (see Audiweb) that undoubtedly helped to make more 'confidentigli advertisers in their decisions to enter the Internet media-mix, more and more' on the horizon I see a future that will allow 'to intercept and engage users online, individuals, not because of any conduct declared online, through investigation CAPI or CATI, or sign up through the meter, but for those who will be tracked in real time and analyzed by software, through cookies, un'advertising basic tool to provide more and more 'relevant and consistent with the behavior and user needs.
text strings, codes, data are recorded and analyzed by the planning software will be crucial in order to provide advertisements "customized" and, presumably, acceptable to users and to contact them precisely in time with customized offers.
All this thanks to a renewed capacity 'to make creative' online that necessarily must 'be "empowered by technology."
The role of agencies and then gradually going to change 'and also the relative professionals who will be more and more 'on the one hand characterized by mathematical and statistical skills, and other artistic and humanistic psychology.
other hand, the social-media have also revolutionized and more and more 'will revolutionize the marketing and advertising calls into question the value of brands, and products, now determined and influenced by the conversations between people, returning a value specifically the concept of "time to market." Gia 'now has much more than' a negative opinion of some user "influencer" posted on a social-network and "viralizzato" by his friends in real time that 800 GRPs's television daily. Tomorrow the marketing decisions will be guided by the capacity 'to listen to the needs and dreams of individuals who will determine the strategies. A "supply chain up side down" that will affect 'totally choices of production of goods and services companies. An economy based on persuasion not so much the companies to consumers to induce them to purchase certain products and services than on deterrence by consumers against companies producing tangible and intangible assets that are not the fruit of their choices and shared.

Pokemon Pearl Hm And Tm Cheat

Macri Puricelli - After Wikileaks. Citizen journalism and the ' commitment to the digital divide

newspapers paper may disappear. Or rather will new convergences between paper, web and multimedia.

What certainly will not disappear in 2011
will citizen journalism, journalism that citizien that has grown a lot the last two years and whose power has become clear to everyone at the end of 2010 with the publication of confidential documents by Wikileaks .

A case unprecedented in the history of printing: 800 Journalists professionals have turned this site into a factory scoop. displace the world's press. And opening the way for the sharing of expertise in the information.

But the struggle that we have seen around Wikileaks and Julian Assange with the issues it raises in terms of information, has bases in distant time. E 'sensational development of the first reality of web activism in journalism.

a development occurred in the last decade thanks to growth equally sensational on the Internet, both from the technological point of view of mass deployment in the policies of access (both infrastructure and the literacy) plays a primary role .

are the foundations for a new journalism through the Internet grew in the late nineties experiences known as Indymedia or PeaceReporter . Broaden the new millennium with the Citizien Journalism in adventure Agora Vox and YouReporter . Or related to traditional journalism as iReport CNN.

in 2011, and in the years to come, investigative journalism and the investigative (including paper) will find new strength and new media (the Internet, the web, social networks) on which to base their fortunes . And new forms of cooperation which Wikileaks is just an amazing tip of the iceberg.

The concept "liberariamo information" certainly not born in newsrooms, is travolgend journalism and information worldwide. But it is the prerequisite to and welcome new forms of collaboration between those inside and those outside the newsroom. For the sake of information.

In 2011 will no longer put off the match between journalists 'traditional' and citizens-witness-reporter on the One can not avoid coming to terms with the mass of information (good, bad, serious, false documents) that people can publish on the web and spread virally through social networks and blog platforms evolved.

But that, notes an analysis of NiemanLab , you can only thinking historically the path taken by digital journalism in the last ten years. A decade in which most of the Italian journalists have pretended not to see. We must understand the way in which hackers and technocrats can now shape and direct the flow of information that arrives every day on our PC.

In 2011, more than now, when you try news through a search engine that is coming from newspapers and the blogs have equal dignity in the eyes of a reader.

Especially if new experiences participatory journalism in which journalists and citizens working together for a common objective, truthful and transparent information (see The blue suitcase Roman and events of December 14, 2010) able to filter , mediating, controlling sources, organize content through databases, computer graphics hypertext, georeferenced information. Making it easier for the reader's path. Why more and more will be the player to decide whom to believe. To choose where and how to read.

For this reason it seems increasingly urgent public action (but will be difficult for this to happen, and not only for financial reasons) cultural and technological literacy to the Internet.

If not municipalities, provinces and regions to take responsibility, we expect a greater commitment on the territory of at least fact that public-private technology live such as science parks. O totally private entities.

in 2011 will still be clearer as the digital divide today (and I speak only in the Italian) will lay the foundation not only of new forms of poverty, but also a monopoly of information flow in both revenue (those who publish information and content) and outgoing (who can find this information and use it).

On the front of the press, the time is right to work with those outside. To share expertise. To retrieve information from the Internet in order to produce quality information sharing and collaboration with the community.

And 'what Benoit Raphael , co-founder of the French Post, calls the "social preparation" . A new adventure for journalists, if we believe and invest there.

But, in 2011 in Italy, the difference between a blogger and a print journalist will be the same today: the second will be a paid professional and the first no.

Rapala Lures What Does Cd Mean

Elijah Bellussi - IT and robotics. Environment and man.

The story is an excellent teacher to understand the future, but must be studied carefully, particularly since it alone is not enough to fully understand the world and its likely development. It, inevitably, be united as sociology, psychology, economics, anthropology.

Rest, however, always very critical of the predictions of the future development of society and thus also of the technologies to use it, so I do not feel to say with certainty, or guess, which I think could be the field or the technology to be predominant in 2011. I can only state which, in my opinion, should be the areas on which you should bet, or at least, pay more attention.

In this era of evolving media technologies, moving from print to the "digital paper" on the e-book or radio and TV analog broadcasts via the Web to digital radio and television (for which envisages that a user can interact), the areas in which you are making great strides are less visible but which influence the quality of life of all days, even More developments in the field of media communication.

In this age of climate change more or less obvious, environmental disasters and problems related to territory, in this era, in which the medical and biological research is shaping the treatment techniques, research in robotics is moving increasingly towards that branch of it which is called "service".

If limited to Italy, on the one hand we have the science center, aerospace and robotic Turin, formed by the University, the Polytechnic and by many companies, from 'There is much research regarding robotics and information technology in medicine and biology.

Through research in the aerospace field, it can provide a support (apart from the field military) in homeland defense and security. Not to forget, in fact, the study on drones (already used by, among other things, civil defense), which allow you to be able to see without being physically present, the status of a territory. Practical example is its project SMAT-F1, a European project to develop unmanned drones.

It is not to forget the enormous effort that is being carried out, in collaboration with ESA and NASA , as regards the development of rover for space exploration . The same studies that are applied to the development of drones for security, such as, for example, those likely to disarm explosive devices.

Through research in the field of bioinformatics and service robotics in the medical field, we are making great strides with regard to telemedicine, seeking care, development intelligent systems for diagnosis, prognosis el'anamnesi, microsurgery, help for the elderly and the disabled (in which case you are trying to create robotic systems that, at one with the home automation system, can deal with issues that affect the lives of the user).

The use of touchscreens or remote systems, see remote controls, makes it absolutely simple and intuitive control of the equipment and is aiming for an even more radical development. A short time ago that a student has developed software capable of writing based on the brain electromagnetic waves, emitted by the user of the system provided.

Hence the development of a remote control that does not need to be manipulated, the road is still long but it is certainly clear that we seek to develop technologies that make it more convenient life.

But we should not be limited to this. While trying to develop technologies that simplify life, so that it can not be present, to interact, on the other hand, more and more archives and museums aim to showcase a rich and full, on the web, so as to make available to a public growing their collections, or, more companies, research centers, universities aim to recover all the material stored in digital media now obsolete, trying to preserve it for later use.

An attempt, therefore, be able to retrieve all that knowledge that risks being lost and to disclose it or make it usable again, on the one hand, to the "visitors" to the other employees.

The route is marked, will be the 2011 or a subsequent year, where will these new technologies outlet, I can not certainly tell, but you are focusing on extreme simplification of ' interaction and preservation of cultural capital. Two visions which at first glance are diametrically opposed, but which, inevitably, run hand in hand.

Roller Skating Rinks In Nyc

Luca Mascaro - a future of services close to your life

In human history, thinkers and designers have always tried to catch a glimpse and define the future through stories, dreams and visions that more often than not proved realistic in the short term but more in a few years or a decade.

This little preamble I need to point out that what I'm going to write on these pages will probably not be what the designer will result in mass in 2011 but is a phenomenon that will occupy the minds of many minds in the world.

say what will happen in 2011 is quite easy because the trends of innovation in the last three years have been fairly straightforward: we will talk more and more mobility, more and more of the life stream and a synchronous parallel between real life and the virtual life, things that we know now and we live daily.

is obvious from these that I start to say something but is beginning to turn more and more in the minds of developers and designers with whom I compare myself daily that is the realization of a very simple concept: bring products and digital services to physical quoditiana to improve the lives of people across a range of experience increased.

The question now is clear: what we're talking about practice?

digital products and services (especially the latter) in recent years after running along the concepts of social discovered the possibility to take a geographical significance to that, especially in mobility, has started to place the ' use of services at a place (to be clear: local news from the list of your friends in the area) and that we see daily in applications installed on our phones.

Who but in the last two years has dealt with the definition of services is realized in a single spatial location to another factor that is the temporal location. Today, we are able to know who uses a particular service in a particular place at a given time (a little 'as the concept of spime Sterling ), which consequently allows us to take life context in which a person moves.

This in practical terms has led to the shaping of local and hyperlocal services as Yelp that at lunchtime in a certain place you can suggest automatically close a restaurant with free spaces and its menu of the day (which probably will be aligned to your taste).

Thus, the services are already starting to be a tool that improves and simplifies the little things we do in our lives, giving us a return of real value and bringing us to discover a physical world that is worth of be discovered and explored.

This reality will materialize in 2011 but increasingly there are those, like me, already thinking of going further.

fact, today this system works because a user finds the service is concerned, it is chosen, will adopt and actively cares for use (for example, to check in on foursquare ), but the next step is imagining that you will be full transparency through the adoption physicalization services through objects and their related integration with the architecture of buildings and facilities in town.

fact cities like Tokyo in Japan are structuring the logic of urban digital services (such as in underground JR) that enhance the experience better everyday, or you are building up structures with a high density of connections sensors and digital input / output enable designers to design services natively integrated into the living space.

Well, certainly in 2011 we will be in future mobility, probably we will move on products and services with more and more local purposes, but we will talk about how our city will change when the digital world and the physical world will be overlapped by creating city sensitive.

How Tell I Like Scorpio

Mauro Rubin - Extending our senses in the real world

Over the past 5 years have developed new models of social cooperation have been opened markets and channels of communication technology.

smartphones (and flat rates of Telco) allow us to show our position at all times ( foursquare.com ), our tastes and interests ( facebook.com / twitter.com ) and daily images Divita ( flickr. com / Youtube.com ). find and share information has become easy and affordable for all ( wikipedia.org).

The media have evolved so fast that the world was unable to metabolize as they change. E 'was sufficient to introduce an application that would provide the reading of "digital newspaper" to disrupt the publishing industry (though increasing dissemination of the tablet).

The world of politics (the Italian one in particular) is daily confronted with the media content (blogs, videos, podcasts, etc ...) that trace the choices, opinions, even the life of every representative of party, and raise the immediate reaction of 'public opinion. There are even examples of programs with civic electoral lists created collectively through the network.

Recently we have witnessed an event which shook the government: the publication on the net ( Wikileaks ) of confidential information. When you read reports of U.S. secret services on your iPhone you can not help but realize that the world has changed.

As Derrick de Kerckhove said , father of theory of collective consciousness " II computer is a psycho-technology, which is an extension of our thinking that is expressed through language, extension of our mind .

We have extended our thinking through a network of global public. But this is not a point of arrival but of something revolutionary: the extension of our senses and our perceptions in the real world through the camera.

Then there are the physical limits of aesthetics .

Until a few years ago a man with no legs could run only on a wheelchair. Then came that Pistorius has proven otherwise, and Wired has a cover made with Aimee Mullins. A beautiful portrait and no embarrassment for perfect aesthetics.

And the future?

The spread of networked sensors and drones will allow us to combine reality and digital worlds. The future of the Internet of Things is, and will be even more closely linked to augmented reality. In a few months we get information about everything around us with new emerging technologies.

We drive a drone, for example, using as a console glasses and our hands. The above Niagara Falls and its sensors (visual and olfactory) garantirĂ l'esperienza immersive driving a full-blown.

will increase our ability to learn through simulations that operate through the winning combination reality / interactive virtual objects . Being in a place not preclude the possibility of interacting with objects that are physically in another.

After the sharing of knowledge will open up the possibility of the use of open source objects to experiences.

Does Genital Herpes Appear On Stomach

Gavello Francis - What future for blogs? Alessandro

During the last years the network has repeatedly asked when it was time to decree the death of the usual blog.

Right after a few months of life, dismissing it in simple experiments of new publishing.

During their growth, reducing them to a few interesting and worthy of attention that was gradually waning.

During the explosion, and maturity, categorically condemning them to certain death, imposed by this more snappy social networks and microblogging services.

Not surprisingly, concluded another year, look to the future trying to decipher, if not death (assuming at least discounted, by now) at least some signs of their forthcoming ... evolution.

What future for the blog, anyway?

wonder what fate awaits the blog (and blogging, in the broadest sense) is a bit 'like asking what will happen ... websites. Or the network itself.

Let me explain.

"Blog" is, as I like to repeat, just a word.
What matters, really, is the idea behind it.

or a means to convey ideas, values \u200b\u200band more broadly ... content.
Yes, content. The heart of the discourse in this case is the distribution of content.

evolve over the coming months as the means capable of delivering content? And how much of what we already know this means you leave behind because it no longer necessary?

blogs were (and still are, in many ways) excellent means to distribute content.

were in their early years of life, excellent basis on which to build content networks and relationships. To bring people around him with whom to exchange information restricted to specific niches, obtain feedback, build a reputation.

Over the years, social networks are increasingly threatened to close this ability to build reputation, offering pre-packaged solutions from the minimum threshold of entry.

And over time, social networks have made these dynamics more transparent, immediate, intuitive for someone to plan and build a blog to get the same result, he had no intention at all.

And while the number of blogs still seems up at the end of 2010, Paradoxically, it seems to many to see less activity in the blogosphere than just 6-12 months ago.

Because today, people looking for work on social , finds customers on social, receives and gives advice on the social. Everything is immediate, fast and easily accessible. Much more immediate, fast and affordable than it would on a blog.

Social networks are the new vehicles of reputation. Reputation working on a much wider network of contacts and exchanges available to what could be done to a single blog.

But not for this, in 2011 I expect the death of blogging, or some steep decline in number of actual activities.

The blog may lose part of their appeal among the newcomers, in some cases mere immediacy and convenience. You will see more and more contaminated by drifts beyond "social sharing" where already the Button Like Facebook and Twitter and LinkedIn shares are paving the road. It will benefit from these contaminations to bring home some of the peculiarities of the same social.

but will remain for some time to the "safe house" for companies and brands. A place where you do not depend on landlords sometimes too good at turning the omelette or revolutionize their approach. A place where you can plan strategies and distribute their own content and promote their reputation clearly marking the role of social as useful (although useful) tools.

Why blog after all, were born to meet a variety of needs.
Social networks, well, they also came to meet the needs.

But only some of these were common among them. There is (and resists) a very interesting view for those who still want to get into the world of blogging in 2011.
